Representers of Digital Creations Subcommittee of IESL JIY has won one of the third places of international poster competition organized by WFEO-CEIT in celebration of second World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED2021), with the theme “Engineering for A Healthy Planet - Celebrating the UNESCO Engineering Report”.
Mr. Dilan Priyasad, Ms. Koshila Chandrasena and Mr. Sanjitha Amarathunga were represented the IESL JIY Digital Creations Subcommittee for the above competition and grabbed the third place by competing against best and brightest individuals and communities all around the globe which marks a highly recognized victorious moment for the subcommittee and its’ team members.
JIY Digital Creations Subcommittee was recently established by JIY to make digital creations in order to promote inventions and innovations among school and university students in Sri Lanka. Volunteering engineers and engineering undergraduates are contributing for this subcommittee under the leadership of Eng. Navodana Kankanamge, the Chairman of JIY and the guidance of Eng. Suhashini Ihalagama and Eng. Sandima Samarasinghe.
Mr. Akila Wijesinghe, Mr. Dilan Priyasad, Ms. Koshila Chandrasena, Mr. Sanjitha Amarathunga, Ms. Piyumi Pabasara, Mr. Dimantha Liyanarachchi and Mr. Amila Premakumara are the members of the JIY Digital Creations Subcommittee from various Universities. We congratulate the winning team and JIY Digital Creations Subcommittee for this remarkable achievement and wish the contribution more in future to establish more pride towards to the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka.
